It’s been a mammoth week for football news, especially when it comes to billionaire owners from the middle-east.Firstly, Manchester City were banned from all UEFA competitions for their financial misconduct, and now PSG’s chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been charged in connection with bribing ex-FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke.

Corruption at the highest levels of the beautiful game is nothing new after Sepp Blatter’s reign of terror, and while it’s unknown whether these allegations will prove true or not it’s a shame to see FIFA once again under this type of scrutiny.
So, how does this relate to Leeds United?
Well, rumours have circulated about a QSI takeover at Elland Road for months and Al-Khelaifi is the head of the investment group.
If he’s found guilty of bribing a FIFA official that may impact his ability to purchase the club depending on what punishment he’s handed.
Understandably, this had a number of United fans talking, and many of them believe that this is the end of any chance of a Qatari takeover at Elland Road.
Others joked that this was true to form of any potential Leeds owner.
One stated that he sounds like he’s Leeds all over, while another quipped that he’s the perfect fit.
To be fair, they’re bang on the money in the fact that Leeds have had their fair share of questionable owners over the years. Massimo Cellino received a ban from football-related activities during his time as chairman and Peter Risdale almost bankrupting the club with his frivolous spending.
