The German team may have a hard time convincing Wirtz to stay put for the time being, though, given the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid are interested in signing him. While Wirtz has not given the nod to any team at this point, reports he would rather join the German giants before going abroad.

Wirtz, who joined Leverkusen from Koln in 2020, has scored six goals and registered 10 assists in 18 games for a Leverkusen side currently top of the Bundesliga.
