According to The Telegraph, the 21-year-old has a release clause of approximately £43 million ($54.6m) but it is believed the winger earns upwards of £100,000-a-week after tax in Spain – which would make him one of the Blues' top earners.

While Chelsea arguably need an out-and-out striker, with Napoli's Victor Osimhen and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko among their top targets, Williams has impressed the west London outfit following his six goals and 11 assists this season. However, if he did sign for the Blues, this could place question marks around the futures of fellow widemen Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk. Moreover, with profit and sustainability rules, Chelsea may have to sell before they can buy this summer.
