The full-back has enjoyed something of a breakthrough campaign at Old Trafford, making six appearances for the first team since the beginning of April. And having been honoured in the club's end-of-season awards, he is looking to push on further next season.

Amass said: "It’s helped me grow as a person and a player, but especially off the pitch, growing up as a young lad and trying to grow into a man. When I first signed, it was about developing as a player, getting better, which I think I’ve done. Next is to keep working hard, to show that people can trust me and that I’m a good person off the pitch as well as a good player. Keep giving my best and hopefully get more minutes."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
United have struggled in the wing-back areas, with Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu often used on the right-hand side and Luke Shaw injured for much of the campaign. Having scooped this prize, Amass has an opportunity to make the left-sided position his own.
